The Gerry Gilbert Fonds collects materials from Vancouver poet Gerry Gilbert. Gilbert was a multimedia artist and writer who published 19 books between 1960 and 2006. This collection contains poetry recordings of Gilbertu2019s, including a large number of tapes from u201cradiofreerainforest,u201d the radio show he hosted. radiofreerainforest [sic] aired on Vancouver co-op radio CFRO-FM Radio beginning in the spring of 1985 and ran well into the 1990s. The show consisted of interviews, readings, and discussions with local, national and international literary figures such as Maxine Gadd, Judith Copithorne, Steve McCaffery, bpNichol, and WIlliam Burroughs.
