Notes:
This is the first tape in a five tape series of bpNichol reading The Martyrology. He notes before he begins reading that this event was put together both as a way for him to reflect upon the development of his long poem as well as a fundraiser for the launch of one of his friend's books. In this first recording, Nichol reads from Book 1 of The Martyrology. He also gives a brief foreword on this long poem as an uttanikki and how it "stands at the center of everything else [he] is doing." 0:00 - Introduction 03:39 - Beginning of Book 1 of The Martyrology 39:37 - Interlude about Scraptures
