In this part of the interview, they go back to 1956 and Seattle when some American writers who were important to West Coast like Allen Ginsberg, Robert Duncan, and Gary Snyder. Tallman begins the discussion by referring to the power of women in the literary word back then introducing the female authors and poets who had power. He also talk about the intelligence experiment he had with them.
