Drawing on the work of renowned ethnomusicologist, folklorist, and song-collector Alan Lomax (1915-2002), participants were asked to listen to vocal production in literary audio performances through the lens of Lomax’s Cantometrics, a taxonomy of 37 criteria Lomax developed for the study of traditional vocal music.
