Throw Collective member Annamaria Dosseva read original work, including “Sex as a Metaphor for Playing the Piano,” “The New Religion,” and “Branding.” As described in a document entitled “September Bios.doc,” “Montrealer, somatic educator, poet & performer” Speranza Spir took to the stage with “The Tea Series,” featuring her collaborator, Denis Lafond. To lead off the second set, “playwright and spoken word artist” Riley Palanca performed the first spoken word piece he ever wrote and a cento with lines sourced from popular songs. Jordi Rosen performed atmospheric pop songs including “The Star Family” and a cover of Ben Jonson’s “Song: To Celia” set to music. Ricky Leach followed with two poems/songs.
